Congratulations to Smoke and Mirrors!
Smoke and Mirrors raised £1800 for Epilepsy Action. Jenny White, singer with the band, organised the gig with support from friends. Guests on the night included Sian Crawley - the band's original singer, Paul Sturgess - accordian, and Nick on drums. Well done everyone!
FOLKStation - July 10th to 12th 2009
Local folk festival, FOLKStation, is back once again, being held at The Steam Railway, Havenstreet. Tickets and information - please see link http://www.folkstation.co.uk/ or ring 01983 524040.
Headline act on the Saturday night is "Limited Edition". There will be local musicians playing throughout the weekend, morris dancing, and lots of steaming trains, plus a ceilidh on the Friday night, and a charity concert on the Sunday night. Camping is included in a weekend ticket.
Party in the Park. Wootton Bridge Recreation Ground. 4th July, 6pm 'til 10pm.

Shirley Collins will be holding a traditional singing workshop on the island on September 19th - venue to be confirmed. The workshop will run from 11am to 5.30pm and the cost will be £20 per person.
